The problem

What we were called in to fix

The college's administration was running on spreadsheets, paper attendance registers and three separate legacy systems that didn't talk to each other.

Students had no central place to see grades, submit assignments or check their attendance — every query went through the office.

The principal's ask: replace all of it in one academic year, without disrupting the running semester.

Our approach

How we actually built it

No magic — just the right architectural calls in the right order.

Started with the most painful workflow first — attendance — and shipped a single-feature mobile-friendly app in three weeks. Adoption was instant.

Built outwards: submissions, grading, faculty dashboards, parent portal. Each module went live independently with zero downtime.

Read-only sync from the legacy SIS during transition so departments could migrate at their own pace.

Role-based access control across students, faculty, HoDs, principal and parents — with a clear audit trail.

The outcome

What changed for the client

Replaced four legacy systems and dozens of spreadsheets within the academic year.

Faculty save ~4 hours/week per teacher on admin work — measured before/after via a usage study.

Parent engagement on the portal is now over 70% weekly active — previously, parents found out grades at semester-end.
